Does your Illinois testing-station or mobile safety-testing operation meet Part 451?

Illinois Part 451 governs permits and operations for Official Testing Stations and Official Mobile Safety Testing Companies that perform covered safety inspections. The current rule includes permit and survey procedures, station and mobile-company operating requirements, tester qualifications, equipment, vehicle inspection reports, forms and records. Mobile testing companies must maintain an Illinois physical office and may perform safety tests only at the vehicle owner's place of business.
