Are Nevada repair estimates and added-work approvals handled correctly?

Nevada requires a written estimate for covered repairs over $50 unless properly waived. If additional charges exceed 20% of the original estimate or $100, whichever is less, the shop must notify the person authorizing repairs before performing the added work. Nevada also requires the Automotive Repair Customer Bill of Rights, a completed statement of charges, and specified replaced-parts rights.

Quick check

Verify covered repairs over $50 have a written estimate and added work is approved before it exceeds 20% of the estimate or $100, whichever is less.
