Are your Texas scrap-tire storage and manifest records compliant?

Texas treats tire retailers and certain automotive businesses as used or scrap tire generators. A generator may generally store up to 500 used or scrap tires at the generation location without generator registration, but general generator requirements still apply. Generators must document tire removal using manifests, use a registered transporter unless self-transporting, send tires to an authorized facility, obtain the completed manifest within 60 days, and retain manifests and related records for three years. Additional registration applies when storage thresholds are exceeded.

Quick check

Confirm on-site tire counts stay within your registration status, every outgoing load has a manifest, the transporter/destination is authorized, completed manifests come back within 60 days, and records are kept for three years.
