Missouri required disclosure when insurers specify non-OEM aftermarket crash parts

RSMo §407.295 became effective January 1, 1990. Non-OEM aftermarket crash parts supplied for use in Missouri must identify their manufacturer, and when an insurer intends to use non-OEM aftermarket crash parts the written estimate must identify each part and include the statutory disclosure explaining that the replacement-part warranty comes from the part manufacturer or distributor rather than the vehicle manufacturer.
