Arizona added ADAS recalibration rules for auto-glass work

Arizona Senate Bill 1410 added A.R.S. §20-463.02 effective September 24, 2022. Auto-glass repair or replacement facilities working on vehicles with advanced driver assistance systems must disclose whether recalibration is required, provide an itemized description of the work, perform recalibration to meet or exceed manufacturer specifications, and notify the customer and insurer when recalibration is not performed or does not succeed. The law also restricts billing for work not performed to manufacturer specifications and provides a $2,500 civil penalty for violations.
