Are you honoring Maine customer repair caps and posting the required repair notice?

Maine's Motor Vehicle Repair Law lets a customer set a written maximum amount they agree to pay for repairs; the customer is not liable above that cap without further specific agreement. Used, rebuilt, or reconditioned parts cannot be installed without advance customer agreement. Repair shops must post the required customer-rights notice, including the hourly labor rate and applicable flat-rate/shop-supplies information.

Quick check

Confirm written customer repair caps are not exceeded without approval, used/rebuilt/reconditioned parts get advance approval, and the required rights/labor-rate notice is posted.
