Wisconsin added repair-order formulas for dealer warranty reimbursement

2011 Wisconsin Act 91 amended Wis. Stat. §218.0125 to base covered dealer warranty compensation on an effective nonwarranty labor rate and average parts markup calculated from qualifying customer-pay repair orders, with a statutory submission and dispute process. The act was published December 20, 2011 and, under Wisconsin's default effective-date rule, took effect the following day.

What to check

Wisconsin dealership service departments should support warranty labor-rate and parts-markup requests with qualifying repair orders and follow the current §218.0125 submission and dispute procedures.
