Michigan changed repair-facility registration and auxiliary-location rules

Michigan Public Act 59 of 2025 changed the Motor Vehicle Service and Repair Act. The law allows one qualifying auxiliary repair facility under the same registration, adds zoning/municipal approval requirements for new registrants, simplifies registration-fee tiers and changes mechanic-certification administration. The act was assigned immediate effect.
