New York expanded dealer warranty and recall reimbursement rules

Chapter 301 of the Laws of 2024 amended Vehicle and Traffic Law § 465 to broaden franchised-dealer compensation protections for warranty work, recalls, diagnostics and other factory-compensated repairs, including retail-rate and claim-processing rules. The act took effect immediately when signed September 4, 2024.
