Mississippi let dealers set warranty labor rates and parts markup from repair orders

HB 746 (2021), approved March 16, 2021 and effective July 1, 2021, created Miss. Code 63-17-86. Dealers may set their warranty parts markup and labor rate by submitting 100 sequential qualified repair orders or 90 days of repair orders from the last 180 days. The declared rates are presumed reasonable unless the manufacturer rebuts them within 45 days after receiving any additional repair orders, and disputes can be protested to the Motor Vehicle Commission.
