Florida added ADAS calibration and new glass-repair notice rules to the Motor Vehicle Repair Act

Florida Chapter 2023-136 revised the Motor Vehicle Repair Act to expressly include ADAS calibration and recalibration in motor vehicle repair. It also made it unlawful for repair shops or employees to offer a rebate or other thing of value in exchange for a motor-vehicle-glass insurance claim and requires electronic or written notice in at least 12-point type when ADAS calibration or recalibration is required as part of glass replacement or repair. The act took effect May 25, 2023.
